THE SUTHERLAND “900”:
Our whisky and gin will be meticulously researched, finely crafted and will be an exploration and celebration of the natural resources of this exceptional area of Scotland.
Moreover we intend Dunrobin Highland Distillery to be an asset to the local community here and to be able to make a rich contribution to the commercial, social and educational fabric of Sutherland.
To this end, and in celebration of the Sutherland 900th anniversary, we are offering 900 Founder Memberships in the Dunrobin Highland Distillery project: the “Sutherland 900”.
Members will receive our first rare and publicly unavailable bottlings – of both gin and single malt whisky – and will have exclusive access to member-only events and offers.

WHISKY:
Members will receive one bottle of our very first single malt whisky to be released, an exclusive “Sutherland 900” bottling for members and cask owners. At this stage we don’t anticipate bottling a whisky under five years of age, so anticipated release date is 2030, the Sutherland 900th anniversary.
In the meantime members will receive a special one-off bottling of blended single malt from casks selected by our head distiller, Jack Mayo. Again this will be a limited members’ only release of 900 bottles. Details and release date to be confirmed.
GIN:
DUNROBIN FOUNDERS 900 GIN.
Members will receive an exclusive two-bottle pack of a strictly limited launch bottling of our FOUNDERS 900 GIN. This will be bottled at “Navy Strength” and will only be available to 900 Members.
DUNROBIN ICE HOUSE GIN.
Members will receive two bottles of our first batch of Dunrobin Estate ICE HOUSE GIN.
The “900” MEMBERS WILL ALSO RECEIVE:
Exclusive access to a password protected “900” website which will document our journey from 2023 through to when our first whisky runs from the stills. The website will be an intimate sharing of the development of the distillery and our gins and whiskies, including diary comment and tasting notes from Jack, our head distiller, and Susanne, our Estate botanist. This will be shared only with the Sutherland “900” community and there will be the opportunity for community members to comment and take part in our journey.

FOUNDER CASK OWNERS:
We offer a strictly limited number of 99 single malt casks from our first year of production. Founder Cask Owners will be able to choose from either standard ex-Bourbon cask or from a range of premium casks – types to be announced closer to filling. Our head distiller, Jack, will be available to discuss cask type and maturation with cask owners.
We hope to be in a position to fill casks in 2026 and for quality reasons bottling will be after a minimum of five years – again, Jack will be able to advise on how your spirit is maturing and optimum times of bottling.
Cask owners will receive a formal certificate of ownership, and a 200ml sample of their whisky every year. You will also be entitled to a VIP visit to the distillery once a year while we hold your cask, with two guests.
